Love you dad...

Just wanted to give a shout out to my dad. Happy Fathers Day! Hope you have a good day.
Things I appreciate/remember about my dad.
*always willing to embarrass any child by telling old man jokes.
*helpful in the church. Drives the welfare truck once a month with my mom at his side.
*always let me make my own decisions & supported me in them.
*has turned into a calm person over the years.
*gets excited over little things. It was always fun to go to auctions with him or even just car shop in the papers/car dealers/ or random parking lots.
*gave me my sense of adventure and ability to move and make new friends.
*loved getting blessings before each school year from him as I was growing up.

Florence ... explained.

Every time I hear florence. I can picture a water tower in KY that says "Florence Ya'll"  I realize I'm in Oregon and this isn't the same place, but I still think of that. I decided I would venture out to see the beach today after I left church. It was a cloudy and uncrowded day. Thank goodness. I didn't really want to see crowds of people. It was nice and quiet. I met a few nice ladies on the beach. I'm sure in one case it was only because of the shirt I was wearing, but either way...It was entertaining conversation. I took a picture of a group of ladies on the beach, saw a few families, and even got to sort of help someone on my way home. I don't really think I need to elaborate so much ....these pictures are my favorites.

O thou of little faith ;)

My best friend HOLLY GOT ENGAGED! It happened Saturday May 28th. She's getting married to Ben Grover in August of this year in Ohio.
I got this picture in a text. (she may kill me for putting it up here if she ever reads my blog) Apparently, she tells me, Bens best friend from college said he'd believe it when he saw it so he got the following text with the subject line = O thou of little faith ;). So I stuck to the same theme for a title. Per chance Ben should read this. The next portion is dedicated to him. A few things I've learned from these two.
*Dreams really do come true
*Miracles happen
*Patience is a virtue I hope to acquire
*Long distance relationships can work but they are hard :)

You kids make me smile. I'm happy to know you both. I've had lots of good times and I've never felt like a 3rd wheel.

I'm glad things are coming together. I hope the short engagement doesn't stress Holly I mean the Mother's out too much. I'm pretty excited for August 13th to roll around. Online dress shopping was happening last night. That was fun. It kind of stinks being so far away. But it is what it is.
